MONDAY, JUNE 9

PRIDE PREP

Alright everybody, let's get ready for PRIDE!!! We need your help
& creativity - and we'll feed you too! If you'd like to hang
out and help us get ready for Pride by making APIQS materials for
the Pride

weekend festivities, please come over to Trang & Kim's house
on Monday, June 9, 6:30pm-9pm, Silver Spring, Maryland (metro: Wheaton,
Red Line).

We'll send you directions once you RSVP to Hy co-chairs@apiqsdc.org

Pizza and salad to be provided. And Trang and Kim make good salad
;-)

TUESDAY, JUNE 10

CAPITAL PRIDE INTERFAITH SERVICE

TIME: 7:30pm-9:30pm

LOCATION: Foundry United Methodist Church,

1500 16th St. NW, Washington DC (corner of 16th & P St.)

Please come to support Al-Fatiha, our ally LGBTQA Muslim organization,
and other LGBTQA communities of faith. This promises to be a lively
and diverse event with over 200 people, with various faith leaders
taking turns to share their reflections. Featured speaker will be
Rev. Archene Turner, and music will be provided by the Jubilee Singers
from All Souls Unitarian Church. People of all traditions are welcome!

SATURDAY, JUNE 14

APIQS' CAPITAL PRIDE MARATHON

Join us for an entire day of Pride – from sharing some grub
w/other queer API & South Asian queer women, to the Dyke March,
to shouting out for the Pride Parade…come join us for it all
or just for one hour or two. Of course, non-API queer folks also
welcome so bring a friend, partner, family member for the fun too.

11:00am-1:30am 3rd Annual APIQS Brunch

It's our 3rd Annual APIQS Brunch to kick-off our festivities for
this year's Capitol Pride! This year, it will be before the Dyke
March since the march isn't starting until 2pm. If you've never
been to an

APIQS event, this is the perfect opportunity to come and hang out
with us!

Please bring your friends - they are totally welcome!

We will be meeting at Lauriol Plaza at 11:00am. Because Lauriol
Plaza doesn't seat a party until all members are present, please
aim to be on time. It would also keep us from feeling rushed and
allow us some really nice bonding time ;-) Should a problem arise

2pm Dyke March

From the APIQS Pride Brunch, we will head straight to Dupont Circle
to join other groups of queer/LGBTQA women and march! It's a lot
of fun. Nothing like rallying with contingents of women that extended
from blocks and blocks.

It's our once in-a-year chance to show our solidarity, diversity,
and pride!

6:30pm Pride Parade Kickoff

And this is it! The long-awaited event of the day - the fabulous
and city-wide Capitol Pride Parade! In our contingent, we will be
marching with AQUA, Khush-DC, and Al-Fatiha. We'll be lining up
at

5:30pm to get ready. Details TBD after the Dyke March.

SUNDAY, JUNE 15

APIQS Table at the Capital Pride Street Festival 2008

The Capital Pride Street Festival continues to be one of the largest
one-day street festivals in the DC metro area. Please join us at
the booth and help us out as we share a table with KhushDC, meet
new

friends, rub on some APIQS tattoos, share some APIQS buttons, and
feel the PRIDE! It's a great way to let others know about APIQS
and promote visibility. After all, it's our day to shine!

When: Sunday, June 15

Where: Btwn. 7th and 3rd Streets and Constitution Avenue on Pennsylvania
Ave. NW
